Securing a mortgage: Locum work
Locum work can be considered towards your mortgage application if you can prove to the lender that the income is regular and sustainable, typically evidenced through a P60 or payslips. Typically, the lender will take an average over the last few months or year.
For full-time locum workers, a mortgage lender will want to see a work history of 12 months to evidence the stability of the income, and your ability to comfortably repay the mortgage loan.
